ABOUT INSIGNEO
Insigneo – CISTIB (Computacional Imaging and Simulation Tecnologies de in Biomedicine) is a research centre at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra integrated in the Information and Communications Technologies Departament (DTIC).
The group’s current focus is on the development of computational medical imaging and simulation techniques, with special emphasis on angiology, cardiology and orthopaedics. The group’s main objective is the consolidation of a solid scientific base regarding the acquisition, analysis, and post processing of medical images and simulations. This objective is tied to research with a more international presence, incorporation of key human resources, participation in international projects and efforts to increase knowledge transfer from research to industry.
